Who is responsible

PUT_YOUR_FULL_NAME_OR_COMPANY, PUT_YOUR_FULL_POSTAL_ADDRESS. Privacy contact: hello@whocalledmehq.com.

What we collect

If you only look up a number: no account, name or email. We keep aggregate usage statistics and, if you accept advertising cookies, the identifiers our advertising partner uses.

If you submit a report: the text you write, an optional display name, and a hashed version of your IP address. The address is never stored in readable form; the hash only lets us spot repeat submissions and cannot be reversed.

Phone numbers: a number can be personal information when it identifies a person. We publish a number only where someone has reported an unwanted call from it, and we remove it on request.

Why we collect it and your consent

We collect information to help people protect themselves from nuisance and fraudulent calls. Advertising and analytics cookies are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, Quebec's private-sector privacy law.

How long we keep it

Reports stay while the page remains useful. Technical data attached to a report is deleted after twelve months. Removal requests are kept long enough to show we dealt with them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. Our hosting provider processes data for us, and Google receives advertising identifiers if you accept advertising cookies. Servers may be outside Canada, so your information may be subject to the laws of another country.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@whocalledmehq.com. To remove a phone number, use the removal form: when we accept a request the page is deleted and the number is permanently blocked from being published again. We reply within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.
